This morning I prepared my favourite brekfast!:) ...Beautiful table set, toast, biscuits, apricot and strawberry jam (made by me), the farmer eggs, milk and coffee. Simple and genuine moments to begin a new day!
Questa mattina ho preparato una colazione così come piace a me!:) Con una bella tavola apparecchiata, il mio servizio da colazione preferito, un po' di pane tostato, fette biscottate, la marmellata di albicocche e fragole fatta da me, le uova del contadino, latte e caffè. Momenti semplici e genuini per un inizio di un nuovo giorno!
I dedicate a lot of time at tea tables and short time at breakfast tables. The first are those that primarily I usually share with friends, the latter those with my family. They are both very beautiful moments that allow me to slow down the frenetic life today. The food preparation and thinking of how to set the table are magical moments that allows me to express my creativity.
Dedico molto tempo alle tavole da té e poco a quelle della prima colazione. Le prime sono quelle che principalmente condivido con le amiche, le seconde quelle con la mia famiglia. Sono entrambi dei momenti molto belli che mi permettono di rallentare la freneticità della vita odierna. La preparazione dei cibi e il pensiero di come apparecchiare la tavola sono dei momento magici che permettono di esprimere la propria creatività!
This is my favourite brekfast set service from the collection of Portmerion porcelain named 'Botanic Garden'that was lauched in 1970 by its founder Susan and inspired by a book of botany. Portmerion is a British company, renowned throughout the world.
Questo servizio di porcellana è della collezione Botanic Garden dell'azienda inglese Portmerion famosa in tutto il mondo, che nel 1970 per volontà della sua fondatrice Susan ideò la linea Botanic ispirandosi ad un libro di botanica.
My jam recipe is very simple: for every pound of fruit I add about 500 grams of sugar (depending on how sweet and ripe is the fruit) and let cook for 50 minutes (I use Bimby cooking machine at Varoma temperature).
After cooking for a few seconds homogenize the jam (to make it creamy without the pieces of fruit) then I put the jam into sterilized jars and just immediately after closing them I tip them and let them cool. So I get the vacuum that allows me to keep them for a long time.
The area where I live is full of apricot trees and made jam by ourselves is a great tradition because it allows us to make a very good product, pure and simple, with the fruits that we collect from plants ourselves :)
La ricetta della marmellata fatta da me è molto semplice: per ogni chilo di frutta aggiungo circa 500 grammi di zucchero (dipende da quanto è dolce e matura la frutta) e lascio cuocere per 50 minuti alla temperatura varoma del Bimby.
A fine cottura omogenizzo per pochi secondi la marmellata (in modo da renderla cremosa senza i pezzi di frutta che poco piacciono ai miei bambini) poi inserisco la marmellata nei vasetti appena sterilizzati e subito dopo averli chiusi li capovolgo e li lascio così finché non si raffreddano.
Con questo procedimento ottengo il sottovuoto che mi permette di conservarle per lungo tempo.
La zona in cui vivo è ricca di alberi di albicocche e questo tipo marmellata è per noi una vera e propria tradizione perché ci permette di realizzare un prodotto buonissimo, semplice e genuino con i frutti che noi stessi raccogliamo dalle piante!:)

Frederick Carl Frieseke (April 7, 1874 – August 24, 1939) was an American Impressionist painter who spent most of his life as an expatriate in France. An influential member of the Giverny art colony, his paintings often concentrated on various effects of dappled sunlight. He is especially known for painting female subjects, both indoors and out.
Frederick Carl Frieseke (Owosso, 7 aprile 1874 – Mesnil-sur-Blangy, 28 agosto 1939) è stato un pittore statunitense. Fu uno dei maggiori impressionisti americani. Trascorse la maggior parte della sua vita come un espatriato in Francia. Fu membro influente della colonia artistica Giverny con i suoi dipinti spesso concentrati su vari effetti di luce. Egli è noto soprattutto per la pittura soggetti di sesso femminile, sia in ambienti esterni che interni.
