At the Queens table!

Some days ago,  while I was cleaning my showcase,  I saw  some Regency Fine Art Collection figurines that represent Henry VIII's wifes (unfortunately I've got only four of them!). 

Istantly I started to think how they shoud appear as placeholder on a tablesetting and then ... take a look at my idea...!:)

Alcuni giorni fa, mentre stavo sistemando una vetrina del mio salotto, mi sono trovata 'faccia a faccia' con delle figurine Regency Fine Art Collection che rappresentano le mogli Enrico VIII (purtroppo ne ho solo quattro!). 

E così, mentre fantasticavo sull'epoca Tudor, pensavo a come avrei allestito una tavola ispirandomi a quel periodo.

Questo è il mio modesto risultato....!:)

...and the iron centerpiece seemed right for something from old style!:)

...i bicchieri sono della bisnonna di una mia amica...

...e il centrotavola in ferro mi sembrava giusto per una decorazione in stile!:) ...

Catherine of Aragon

Catherine of Aragon  (16 December 1485 – 7 January 1536) was Queen of England from 1509 until 1533 as the first wife of King Henry VIII; she was previously Princess of Wales as the wife of Prince Arthur.

Caterina d'Aragona (Alcalá de Henares, 16 dicembre 1485 – Kimbolton, 7 gennaio 1536) fu principessa del Galles come moglie di Arturo Tudor, e regina consorte d'Inghilterra come prima moglie di re Enrico VIII.

Jane Seymour 

Jane Seymour (c. 1508 – 24 October 1537) was Queen of England from 1536 to 1537 as the third wife of King Henry VIII.

Jane Seymour (Wulfhall, circa 1508 – Hampton Court, 24 ottobre 1537) è stata regina consorte d'Inghilterra, come terza moglie di Enrico VIII dal 1536 al 1537.

Anne of Cleves

Anne of Cleves  (22 September 1515 – 16 July 1557) was Queen of England from 6 January 1540 to 9 July 1540 as the fourth wife of King Henry VIII.

Anna di Clèves (Düsseldorf, 22 settembre 1515 – Londra, 16 luglio 1557) è stata regina consorte d'Inghilterra, come quarta moglie del re Enrico VIII dal 6 gennaio al 9 luglio 1540.

Catherine Howard 

Catherine Howard (c. 1523 – 13 February 1542) was Queen of England from 1540 until 1541, as the fifth wife of Henry VIII; she was Anna Bolena’s cousin.

Catherine Howard (circa 1523 – Londra, 13 febbraio 1542) è stata regina consorte d'Inghilterra dal 1540 al 1541, come quinta moglie di Enrico VIII, nonché cugina di 1º grado della seconda consorte di Enrico, Anna Bolena.

Try to guess what this castle is? A bottle of stone really original and very old!

Indovinate cos'è questo castello? Una bottiglia di pietra davvero originale e molto antica!

On the table I've put paper rose from Lancaster, York and Tudor Tradition...

...and ... my  pewter jug. I love it!

Sul tavolo ho messo rose di carta tratte da quelli dei casati simboli dell'epoca: la rosa bianca dei Lancaster, la rosa rossa degli York e la rosa bianca dei Tudor.
