Cameo Party

A beautiful Cameo Cake baked  for a 50 years birtday by my friend Katia.
The vintage cameos are made by hand engraving on shell.
The cake is adorned with ribbons and pink pearls.

Una bella torta decorata con Cammei vintage
realizzata dalla mia amica Katia per un compleanno di una giovane signora!
I cammei vintage sono realizzati a mano e la torta è stata decorata con nastri e perle rosa.

Ladies received a small wreath
to remebrer the party...:)

Alle signore è stato donata una piccola ghirlanda
da appendere e conservare in ricordo della festa...:)

How about use it near curtains? I think it is perfect! :)
Che ne dite di utilizzarla come ferma tenda? Penso  sia perfetto!:)

Cameos are obviously not all the same as they were made by hand with a very simple manufacturing that allows its use in ceremonies, parties and gadgets.

I cammei non sono ovviamente tutti uguali poichè sono stati realizzati a mano con una manifattura molto semplice che permette l'utilizzo in cerimonie, parties e gadgets.

Many thanks for your visit!:)

February Tea Time

Edith Holden
I can not resist to show you this beautiful mimosa that shines in our garden!
I'm thinking that whatever man creates nothing can be as wonderful as
the gifts of mother nature gives us!:)

Of course my cup of tea on February could not be without these wonderful flowers...

...I think the yellow mimosa flowers are perfect near
the violet flowers of the cup and saucer...

and ...the white fairy is a good company for a cup of tea!:)

Many thanks for your visit and
have a good afternoon tea with many beautiful poems to read! :)

Tea with a Queen

Today my tea cup is inspired by ...

Mary Stuart Queen of Scots
Mary Queen of Scots source

Mary Queen of Scots 1542-1587 also known as Mary Stuart or Mary I of Scotland, was queen regnant of Scotland from 14 December 1542 to 24 July 1567. Mary spent most of her childhood in France whilst Scotland was ruled by regents, and in 1558, she married Francis, Dauphin of France. Vivacious, beautiful, and clever, Mary had a promising childhood. She was considered a pretty child and later, as a woman, strikingly attractive.

Mary Stuart Queen of Scots

Welcome at my afternoon tea with ...

...a Queen...

... a whisky jug...pardon...a "finest old scotch whisky" tea pot ...:)

...a scottish marmalade...

...a crown ...and a book about the Queen life...

....an heather plant...

...a castle ...
...Eliean Donan ...
(this castle is not related to the story of Mary
but it is one of the most beautiful castle of Scontland and one of my favorites!:)

...and finally a tea towels with beautiful castles...!:)

...Many thank for your visit!:)

Valentine's Day: a coffee for two

Welcome at a Valentine's Day Coffee Time.
I was inspired  by love and hearths to create my small coffee valentine's house corner.
The picture I showed above is not a postcards but a delicious paintings by hand bought at a flea market months ago. The author is non mentioned. I think It is perfect for this day!:)

My new sugar bowl has small pink flowers but the peculiarity of this coffee set is the small plates under the cups. They have a heart shape! Lovely and perfect for Valentine's day!!:)

This pair of porcelain perhaps I have already shown in this blog but I love it so much that I like to show it again!

It has a Volsted Rudolstadt Mark used after 1898.
